Our Mission
Nominpensas, LLC is a small company that was formed to assist design professionals, contractors, subcontractors, facility managers, and the general public to find roofing products meeting specific needs. Our goal is to include every roofing product available for sale in North America, even those that are manufactured outside the United States. Unlike conventional search tools, which depend on key words, Nominpensas includes an innovative search capability based on roofing product attributes. It allows users to find products that meet specific needs, such as maximum weight, roof slope, reflectivity, and many other attributes.
What's up with the name?
Nominpensas (/ˈNOH·min·pensas/) is a contraction of the Latin expression for Naming Building Materials. Every product in our database is identified by a unique number that includes identification of the roofing type, the values of its major attributes, and identification of the manufacturer and its model number. In addition to finding products based on their attributes, Nominpensas identifies products by manufacturer, by brand name, by keyword, and by Roofing Type.
Who We Are
The company was founded by architects and other construction and software professionals with decades of experience in product research and specifications. We want our database to be as complete and as accurate as possible, and we hope our users will bring to our attention any errors or omissions that come to their attention.
